Visit Redwood National Park
The Redwood National Park is a wide expanse of woodland, coastline and rivers that is truly breathtaking. There are a wide range of outdoor activities available in the park that visitors can do. The Redwood trees in the park are among the tallest and oldest in the United States. The wildlife that lives in the park is also as varied as the activities offered and include a number of protected and rare animal species.
If you only have one day to visit the park, you should take a relaxing walk through the forest. If you have more time, you can take some of the longer hiking trails that are available. There are 5 visitor centers that offers a lot of information about the park and an 8 mile coastal drive.
Relax On Venice Beach
Los Angeles is well known for its beautiful beaches and one of the most stunning examples is Venice Beach. If you are visiting in the summer months in your luxury car, the beach hosts many street performers, swimmers and sunbathers.
There is also Muscle Beach which can be found here. This is where bodybuilders have long been known to flex their muscles at the open air, beach side gym.
Go To Disneyland
Any trip to California, particularly if you have children, will not be complete without a trip to Disneyland. The famous amusement park is where you can see all of your favorite Disney characters come to life.
There are also a number of white-knuckle rides, restaurants and shops in the park. You can also watch live shows with the famous characters from the park such as Goofy, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
Visit Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is one of the largest lakes in the world and is said to have been created during the last ice age which was approximately 2 million years ago. The lake is located on the border of California and Nevada. Lake Tahoe offers activities in both the summer and the winter, so a trip to the lake should always be part of your itinerary.
During the winter, you can enjoy skiing and snowmobile driving around the lake. During the summer, you can sail, jet ski or kayak across the expansive lake. Of course, you can simply enjoy the beauty of this gigantic lake.
See The Golden Gate Bridge
One of the most recognizable landmarks in the United States is the Golden Gate Bridge. This bridge is photographed countless times each year and spans the San Francisco bay which is over a mile wide. The red tone of the bridge ensures that it is visible in foggy weather which often hits this area. You can walk, drive or cycle across the bridge or take one of the guided tours that tell you about the history of this bridge.
